Responsibilities
Creating designs for websites, advertisements, social media, print materials, signage, and other marketing collateral for all campus departments and programs, including college recruiting materials.
Design special projects for all departments and programs on campus.
Update, maintain, and enforce the campus Visual Identity Guide, ensuring campus-wide compliance with institutional branding.
Revising designs based on department feedback while ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
Work on design projects from start to finish.
Design, order, and work with third‑party vendors to provide specialty items such as large format printing, press printing, mailing services, displays, swag, etc.
Supervise a graphic design intern when appropriate.
Meet with department representatives to understand project requirements and objectives.
Maintain an electronic log of design jobs, updating their status during the design process.
Assists as Needed
Manage the daily design workload alongside the other Graphic Design Specialist.
Cover the Mail Room and Print Shop duties when the Mail and Copy Specialist is unavailable.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Support the Director of Marketing and Communication in fiscal decisions.
Participate on teams as requested by the Director of Marketing and Communication.

Education / Training Preferred or Required
Associate degree in Graphic and/or Digital Design, or equivalent work experience
Work Schedule and Conditions
This position typically works Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, this position is also expected to attend multiple events throughout the year outside of those hours that may include parades, fundraisers, evening and weekend college events, evening and weekend community events, etc. This is an on-campus position.
