Account Manager – Cardiometabolic
Location: St. Louis, MO

We are seeking an Account Manager to oversee Abbott’s Cardiometabolic (CM) product portfolio in the St. Louis market. The role focuses on point‑of‑care diagnostic testing for Afinion (HbA1C and ACR) and Cholestech LDX (lipid and glucose) analyzers.

Responsibilities

Identify and capitalize on sales opportunities.

Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with physician offices, hospital accounts, corporate wellness programs, IDNs, distributors, and end users.

Strategically develop point‑of‑care sales opportunities.

Implement sales, marketing, and national account programs as directed by management.

Maintain strong competitive product knowledge and stay current on market trends.

Assist in managing complex sales by providing technical expertise.

Meet sales goals and objectives while maintaining the territory budget.

Coordinate and manage distributor sales force performance, including training and development.

Support distribution partners with product training, sales meetings, technical expertise, and marketing support.

Serve as a resource for contract negotiations, pricing, proposals, bid preparation, and customer follow‑ups.

Identify customer issues and resolve sales‑related difficulties.

Required Qualifications

BA/BS in sales, marketing, business management, or life sciences.

4+ years’ experience in medical diagnostics or B2B sales.

Experience working with distribution partners.

Strong knowledge of sales techniques and methodologies.

Demonstrated ability in executing sales strategies.

Proven experience in POC or capital equipment sales.

Preferred Qualifications

Contract negotiation experience.

Background in complex or strategic selling.

Ability to balance multiple stakeholders.

Benefits
