Multimedia Content Creator/Graphic Designer
The Multimedia Content Creator/Graphic Designer is responsible for producing high-quality video content, photography, packaging graphics, and digital marketing assets to support Horizon Tool's retail, e-commerce, and customer-facing initiatives. This position plays a key role in creating short-form video content for product demonstrations, training, and promotional use while also supporting packaging design, print materials, and brand compliance.

Qualification Requirements

Associate degree in Graphic Design, Media Production, Marketing, or related field

Experience in video production and editing

Experience creating short-form content for YouTube, product websites, and social media

Experience with product photography and lighting setup

Experience designing retail packaging and print-ready files

Strong understanding of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy

Experience working within customer brand standards

Minimum Qualifications (Must have
on-negotiable)

High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, or related field preferred

Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in video shooting and editing

Demonstrated experience producing short‑form video content (portfolio required)

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including:

Adobe Premiere Pro

Adobe After Effects

Adobe Illustrator

Adobe Photoshop

Ability to operate DSLR or mirrorless camera equipment and basic lighting setups

Experience preparing files for print production and packaging layout

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow brand standards

Basic understanding of file formats, resolution, color modes (RGB vs CMYK), and export settings for print and digital platforms

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong knowledge of video composition, lighting techniques, and visual storytelling

Proficiency in shooting and editing short‑form video content for web and social platforms

Working knowledge of motion graphics, text overlays, transitions, and audio balancing

Strong understanding of print production processes, file preparation, and packaging layout requirements

Knowledge of color modes, resolution standards, and file formatting for print and digital use (CMYK, RGB, DPI, etc.)

Solid understanding of typography, layout principles, and brand identity standards

Ability to operate DSLR or mirrorless cameras, basic lighting kits, and audio equipment

Strong photo editing and retouching skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain structured digital file systems

Ability to follow and execute customer brand standards accurately

Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to accept feedback and revise creative work efficiently

Problem‑solving ability in both creative and technical situations

Adaptability to shift between video production, packaging design, and photography as business needs change

Working knowledge of automotive tools, mechanical systems, or vehicle repair environments (professional or hobbyist experience preferred)

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally on camera for product demonstrations or instructional content

Comfort speaking about product features and tool usage in a clear and confident manner

Essential Functions

Plan, coordinate, and execute video shoots for product demonstrations, marketing content, customer websites, and social media platforms

Capture high‑quality video and audio using professional camera and lighting equipment

Edit video content including sequencing, color correction, audio balancing, motion graphics, and final export formatting

Create and design retail packaging layouts, labels, inserts, and print materials in compliance with customer brand standards

Prepare and deliver print‑ready and digital‑ready files with proper specifications and quality control review

Conduct product photography sessions including staging, lighting setup, and post‑production editing

Develop digital marketing assets including website graphics, promotional materials, and product images

Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and Marketing teams to support product launches and customer initiatives

Review creative materials for accuracy, brand compliance, and production readiness prior to release

Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines

Present, demonstrate, or assist in on‑camera product demonstrations and marketing content as needed

Organize and maintain digital asset libraries, project files, and version control systems

Troubleshoot technical and creative issues related to video, photography, and graphic production

Support trade shows, customer presentations, and product releases with visual content as needed

Adapt to changing project priorities and business needs while maintaining quality standards

Physical Demands

Must be able to sit for extended periods while performing computer‑based work and video editing

Must be able to stand for extended periods during video and photography shoots

Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally (camera equipment, lighting equipment, tripods, and product samples)

Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and adjust equipment during setup and staging

Requires frequent use of hands and fingers to operate cameras, lighting equipment, and computer peripherals

Requires visual acuity to review detailed digital images, video footage, packaging layouts, and print files

Requires the ability to distinguish colors accurately for photo editing and print production

Requires the ability to communicate verbally during collaboration, video production, and team meetings

Work Environment

Primarily works in an office environment performing computer‑based creative tasks

Regularly works in studio‑style environments for video and photography production

Periodic exposure to warehouse and light manufacturing areas

May be exposed to moderate noise levels when working in shop or production areas

May work around moving mechanical equipment in production areas

Lighting conditions may vary during video and photography shoots

May be required to move between company buildings as project needs dictate

Occasional schedule flexibility may be required to meet project deadlines or support product launches
