Position Summary
The Copywriter will research, create, and develop content strategy and editorial copy for public consumption, focusing primarily on business‑to‑consumer (B2C) member work. The role involves interpreting copywriting spec sheets and producing brand‑consistent copy across a wide range of media including online, print, and broadcast.
Key Responsibilities & Performance Objectives
Write peerless ad copy for diverse clientele and internal corporate departments.
Read and interpret member or client copywriting spec sheets to capture brand voice, tone guidelines, audience preferences, and job‑specific requirements.
Manage simultaneous copywriting projects across multiple member accounts while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality and brand consistency.
Create on‑the‑moment web content for corporate and client web/social media needs.
Research, develop, and produce email marketing, print newsletters, and regularly updated website content.
Collaborate with proofers, designers, marketing operations specialists, digital specialists, and account‑facing marketing managers on tactics, full campaigns, and event environments.
What You Bring
Ability to read, interpret, and apply copywriting spec sheets, translating brand guidelines and preferences into consistent, on‑brand content across multiple accounts.
Ability to manage simultaneous copywriting projects across diverse member accounts, balancing competing deadlines while maintaining consistent quality and brand integrity.
Expertise with SEO, AI Optimization, and Generative Engine Optimization is a major plus.
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Adobe InDesign, and WordPress.
Familiarity with AI writing tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) and ability to use them responsibly within brand guidelines.
Familiarity with AP Style guidelines.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, journalism, or professional writing (preferred).
Minimum 2–3 years of copywriting experience (required).
Experience with a diverse range of formats: print, broadcast, web; marketing or medical background (preferred).
Hands‑on experience writing for a variety of audiences and in a variety of copy styles (preferred).
Experience writing about medical topics (preferred).
Experience in a membership‑based agency or multi‑client environment (preferred).
Working Environment
Full‑time, Monday through Friday, 8:00AM–5:00PM.
Office‑based role; occasional hybrid work permitted based on business needs.
Hourly compensation; non‑exempt, overtime eligibility applies per applicable law.
Location: Greater Vancouver–Portland metropolitan area (candidate must reside in this area).
Physical Demands
This position requires long hours of sitting and use of office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain. Occasional lifting of supplies and materials may be necessary.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly rate $29.00 – $32.00 (dependent on experience).
