Social Media Specialist
CLS Health is one of Greater Houston's largest multi-specialty physician groups, with 300+ providers across nearly 50 locations. We're looking for a social media specialist who is equal parts content creator, relationship builder, and healthcare-savvy storyteller.
This isn't a desk job. You'll be on location — in clinics, exam hallways, and staff break rooms — building real relationships with physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff so you can capture authentic content that connects with patients. The content you create will live on Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok, and it will shape how our community perceives CLS Health.
Here's the honest part: some of our providers will be enthusiastic day one. Others will need convincing. Your job is to earn their trust, respect their time, and make the experience so low-friction and rewarding that they become advocates. If you have a gift for reading the room, putting skeptical people at ease, and making a 60-second video feel like the most painless thing a physician did all week — we want to meet you.
What You'll Do
Content Creation & Production
Plan, film, edit, and publish short-form video content as the primary content format
Create supporting static posts, carousels, and graphics across Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok
Develop a consistent monthly content calendar aligned to service lines, seasonal health observances, and campaign priorities
Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure all content supports brand standards and campaign goals
Maintain and grow platform presences across all three channels
Provider & Clinical Relationship Management
Build genuine, trust-based relationships with physicians, nurse practitioners, PAs, and clinical staff across CLS Health locations
Schedule, coordinate, and conduct on-site content sessions with providers — with minimal disruption to clinical operations
Proactively overcome reluctance: identify provider hesitations, address concerns, and make participation feel worthwhile and easy
Follow up with providers post-content to share results and reinforce the value of their participation
Develop a reputation across the organization as someone providers enjoy working with
Strategy & Reporting
Monitor and report on platform performance metrics including reach, engagement, follower growth, and video views
Stay current on social media trends, platform algorithm changes, and healthcare content best practices
Identify content gaps and opportunities across service lines and locations
Partner with the Specialty Marketing team on service line-specific campaigns
The Personality We're Hiring
Skills matter. Portfolio matters. But this role will succeed or stall based on who you are as a person. We need someone who:
Has a natural gift for making people feel comfortable — including Type-A physicians who've never been on camera
Reads rooms well and adapts communication style to fit the person in front of them
Leads with warmth and confidence, not pushy sales energy
Treats every provider's time as sacred and shows up prepared, efficient, and appreciative
Turns a "no" into "maybe" and a "maybe" into a "yes" — through relationship, not pressure
Genuinely enjoys people and brings energy that's contagious in a clinical environment
Is professionally persistent — comfortable following up, staying in touch, and continuing to build relationships even when the first ask doesn't land
Requirements
2+ years of professional social media experience, with demonstrated results in video-first content
Portfolio required: please be prepared to share examples of social media accounts you've managed, with emphasis on video content and engagement performance
Proficiency in short-form video production: filming, editing, captioning, and platform-native publishing
Comfortable on-camera directing others (providers) — not just behind the lens
Strong written communication skills for captions, post copy, and internal coordination
Self-starter who can manage a content calendar and multiple location schedules independently
Preferred
Experience working in a healthcare, clinical, or regulated-industry environment
Familiarity with HIPAA-aware content practices (we'll provide training, but prior awareness is a plus)
Experience with Canva, Adobe Premiere Rush, CapCut, or equivalent editing tools
Existing comfort in clinical environments — you're not fazed by exam rooms, scrubs, or medical jargon
Experience managing multi-location or enterprise brand social accounts
What We Offer
Competitive salary commensurate with experience
Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision
The chance to shape the social media presence of one of Houston's fastest-growing healthcare organizations
A marketing team that values creativity, autonomy, and strategic thinking
Access to compelling, mission-driven stories across 40+ specialties and nearly 50 Houston-area locations
How to Apply
Submit your resume and a link to your social media portfolio. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered. We want to see your work — especially video content you've produced and published.
