Through housing and innovative programming, J-HAP supports residents of Cornerstone Creek Apartments in living connected, fulfilling, and independent lives.

Position Summary
J-HAP is seeking an energetic, organized, and compassionate Program Coordinator to plan and facilitate engaging programs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who live independently at Cornerstone Creek Apartments in Golden Valley.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for developing and leading a variety of social, recreational, educational, and community-based activities that promote connection, independence, and quality of life. This position works directly with tenants, volunteers, and community partners to create meaningful experiences and opportunities for engagement.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, is creative, dependable, and passionate about building inclusive communities.

Primary Responsibilities
Program Planning & Facilitation

Develop and coordinate a monthly calendar of activities and events for tenants

Plan and facilitate engaging social, recreational, educational, and community-based programs

Coordinate all program logistics, including supplies, refreshments, registrations, and transportation arrangements when needed

Ensure successful set‑up and clean‑up for programs and events

Attend and support community outings and special events

Tenant Engagement

Foster an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive environment for all participants

Encourage tenant involvement and gather feedback to improve programming

Volunteer & Community Relations

Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise program volunteers

Develop partnerships with community organizations and businesses

Identify opportunities for tenant engagement within the broader community

Program Administration

Track attendance and maintain program records

Collect participant feedback and evaluate program effectiveness

Assist with program communications and promotion

Attend staff meetings and organizational events as requested

Schedule
Approximately 30-40 hours per month.

Tuesdays and Thursdays: 5:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Two Saturdays per month: 5:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Approximately 8 additional hours per month for planning, administration, and meetings

Occasional additional hours for special events, community outings, or programming needs
