PIX11 is looking for a full‑time Executive Producer, Digital.
Responsibilities
Monitor all forms of media—print, TV, digital, blogs, and social—and quickly report breaking news stories.
Search for exclusive or trending content that grows engagement and drives loyal local traffic.
Write headlines that increase audience and engagement.
Prioritize packaging content to grow page views per visitor and time on site, using headline testing, metric tools, and observed patterns.
Curate and aggregate a steady stream of interesting content and promote it to generate engagement and repeat site visitation.
Produce short videos and select compelling photos to tell a story in multiple formats.
Evaluate website traffic trends to inform daily content needs and long‑term content curation that expands the local audience.
Build positive working relationships with newsroom staff and management, collaborate on enterprise content, and create opportunities to market web content on broadcast.
Promote and distribute news content on social media.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital content and journalism.
Capable of researching, interviewing, and writing original news articles.
Strong headline writing skills that drive clicks.
Excellent multi‑tasking abilities.
Organized, technical problem solver and quick decision maker.
Knowledge of SEO best practices and AP Style.
Enjoys working in teams and has excellent interpersonal skills.
Comfortable with learning new technology independently and quickly.
Strong communicator.
Some schedule flexibility (nights, weekends).
Regularly meets measurements of success.
Strong understanding of Google Analytics; Chartbeat experience a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with HTML, CSS and Photoshop is a plus.
