Youth Theater Director

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. BS Preferred 2. School theater production experience

POSITION/ GOAL:

To coordinate, organize, and produce the Interboro SD Youth theater program that encompasses students from all (4) community schools. This is considered an extracurricular contract.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Oversees the artistic vision of the production.

* Approves the proposed costume and scenic designs.

* Guides the cast and crew.

* Strategic Planning: Casting, Blocking, and Scheduling rehearsals ? Communicates clearly with parents the schedule and expectations of the cast regarding behavior, rehearsal attendance, and commitment to the show.

* Communicates clearly with parents the items students are responsible to provide for themselves (this could include a personal makeup kit, base layers, and jazz shoes) ? Team Management: Checking in on the work of each member of the creative and technical team.

* Performance Accountability: director's notes for cast and crew during rehearsal

* Discussing Financial Management with Production Manager
