Job Description
Qualifications

BS Preferred

School theater production experience

Position/Goal
To coordinate, organize, and produce the Interboro SD Youth theater program that encompasses students from all (4) community schools. This is considered an extracurricular contract.

Essential Functions

Oversees the artistic vision of the production.

Approves the proposed costume and scenic designs.

Guides the cast and crew.

Strategic Planning: Casting, Blocking, and Scheduling rehearsals. Communicates clearly with parents the schedule and expectations of the cast regarding behavior, rehearsal attendance, and commitment to the show.

Communicates clearly with parents the items students are responsible to provide for themselves (this could include a personal makeup kit, base layers, and jazz shoes). Team Management: Checking in on the work of each member of the creative and technical team.

Performance Accountability: director’s notes for cast and crew during rehearsal.

Discussing Financial Management with Production Manager.
