Elastic Search & Observability Engineer

Location: Miami, FL (open for remote) Duration: 12+ Months Tech Stack: OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Python, OpenTelemetry, AWS, Kubernetes. Key Responsibilities: Pipeline Engineering: Design and maintain ingestion pipelines using OTel, Fluent Bit, or Logstash to process massive telecom datasets. Network Analytics: Use Piped Processing Language (PPL) to identify issues like jitter, packet loss, and dropped calls. Cluster Optimization: Manage AWS OpenSearch performance, including shard management and storage tiering with Amazon S3. Proactive Monitoring: Build OpenSearch Dashboards and configure Anomaly Detection to catch service outages via KPIs. Compliance & Security: Automate reporting for GDPR, SOX, and PCI, ensuring audit-ready log retention. Automation: Write robust Python/Bash scripts and manage infrastructure using Terraform (IaC). Required Qualifications: 5–7 years of experience in Search Technologies (OpenSearch/Elasticsearch). Strong hands-on coding skills in Python. Proficiency in AWS OpenSearch Service and Kubernetes. Experience with telecom-specific protocols (SNMP/SSH) is a major plus. Proven ability to manage "massive" data clusters cost-effectively.
