Account Specialist

About the Role
We’re looking for an Account Specialist‑Level 2 on behalf of our client for a 1‑year contract assignment (W‑2). The role requires travel for airline journeys and driving to events. Responsibilities include supporting the development and execution of strategic communications plans, creating content for internal and external channels, providing executive and communications support, managing projects across business units, drafting media statements, serving as a media spokesperson, planning events, measuring results, and evaluating effectiveness. The goal is to improve customer and team member perception through media coverage, brand and message awareness.

Key Responsibilities

Support development and execution of strategic communications plans, main messages, programs and campaigns to support business objectives using research/analytics.

Create visual and written content for internal and external channels (newsletters, digital and social media, video, etc.).

Support internal partners on communications strategy and provide executive and communications support.

Serve as liaison for assigned business units and act as project manager for campaigns and cross‑functional initiatives.

Draft media statements/press releases, answer media inquiries, serve as media spokesperson, and proactively build relationships with the media.

Support planning and execution of events.

Measure results and evaluate the effectiveness of communications and tactics to guide improvements.

Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years’ experience in communications or related field.
