Storyteller Showcase: Performance with Portfolio Footage

Talent wanted for “The Storyteller Showcase.” Only DC, VA & local talent will be considered. This is a non‑paid opportunity. All artists will receive footage and/or photos from their performance, which can be used for portfolios, auditions, school applications, etc. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
All performers will have 5 minutes to perform either an original spoken word poem, monologue or scene. Spoken word poems must be original work. Monologues and scenes can be either original or sourced from a play or film. If you want to perform a scene with another actor, please apply – more time can be allocated, but opportunities to perform scenes are limited and will be permitted on a case‑by‑case basis.

Looking to network and build relationships with other like‑minded artists
Want to build their portfolio
Have prior experience with acting and/or spoken word (from school, conservatory training, or informal experience)

Submission form due: June 7th
Group rehearsals start June 29th (subject to change)
Show will take place July 26th
