Social Media Coordinator (CS26-262)
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) invites applications for the position of Social Media Coordinator. The role supports SIUE’s mission of advancing social and economic mobility and shaping the workforce of the future.

What You Will Do

Develop and execute social media strategy for SIUE’s channels.

Create engaging content, post updates, and manage day‑to‑day operations.

Monitor account activity, analyze performance, and lead efforts to keep content relevant and innovative.

FLSA: Non‑Exempt

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, public relations, or a closely related field.

One (1) year of professional experience in marketing, public relations, communications, brand management, or a related area.

One (1) additional year of experience in creative content production within an established organization, agency, or non‑profit.

Masters degree may substitute for one additional year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Communications or Fine Arts in Communication Design.

Masters in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a closely related field.

Strong writing skills and experience in digital marketing, social media campaigns, branding, and design.

Experience shooting and editing short videos for social media.
