Summary

The Sales Director manages the sales process for ThriveMore at Home – a Continuing Care Services Without Lodging program currently serving Raleigh, North Carolina and the surrounding areas. The role follows and manages prospects through the entire journey until membership. When the program reaches membership level, the Sales Director supervises a sales consultant. The position maintains or exceeds budgeted membership goals.

Qualification Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree and a working knowledge of sales practices and procedures.
  • Requires prior direct sales experience, preferably in senior living industry, and application of this knowledge to sales activities such as sales presentations and customer prospecting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred experience selling an expansion or new senior living community.

  • Effective communicator who can speak well, makes a good first impression, and demonstrates compassion for others.
  • Ability to present to large groups as well as one‑on‑one client presentations.
  • Interaction with prospective residents – conducting interviews and following up on sales leads.
  • Drive and perseverance and commitment to achieving expected sales/marketing goals.
  • High‑energy, self‑starter with a strong goal orientation and big picture perspective.
  • Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematics; computer literate.
  • Motivation and good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with customers and co‑workers.

Essential Functions

  • Actively pursue prospects through remote work and home visits, including networking, holding visits and luncheons, telephone follow‑up, and prospecting.
  • Maintain knowledge of local competition and other Continuing Care at Home programs.
  • Plan and participate in sales presentations for lunch and learns and similar events, as well as in‑home appointments.
  • Meet with interested individuals and couples; discuss features of the program and pre‑qualify customers for membership.
  • Complete all sales and application paperwork, ensuring thorough and accurate forms, including Senior Sign document completion.
  • Ensure corrections made quickly on application documents containing omissions or errors and resolve sales‑related issues to expedite membership.
  • Maintain accurate records on prospective customers in CRM and submit reports on daily and weekly activities, including appointments, prospecting, and results.
  • Work with Chief Marketing Officer on marketing strategies for the community.

Physical Demands

  • Travel regularly within the designated service area, including driving to client homes and event locations.
  • Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during meetings, presentations, and events.
  • Communicate effectively in one‑on‑one and group settings, including speaking to large audiences.
  • Use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and CRM systems.
  • Occasionally lift or carry materials (e.g., marketing materials, presentation supplies) up to approximately 15-20 pounds.
  • Role requires sustained energy, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, goal‑oriented sales environment.
