The Director of Market Access Strategy plays a critical role on a fast‑paced Market Access team. This individual leads and assists in the development and implementation of market access strategies across key segments of our business, including the Ophthalmology Account Director (OAD) team, Rebate Program Specialists (RPS), field reimbursement managers, and sales. Primary responsibilities include leading and/or assisting in the development, implementation, and execution of market access initiatives and tactics, while collaborating closely with Brand Marketing, I&A, Contract Strategy Operations, Pricing, Training, Trade, and all field teams.

- Leads the development of Market Access strategies and manages the execution of tactical plans aligned with EYLEA Market Access strategies for HCPs.
- Leads the GPO core team: facilitates meetings, develops agendas and content, follows up and manages correspondence, tracks accountability.
- Leads the strategic and tactical development of field‑based resources for Ophthalmology Account Directors (OAD), Rebate Program Specialists (RPS), Field Reimbursement Managers (FRM), and Sales teams.
- Continuously evaluates data and insights and changes in market and competitive dynamics to inform short‑ and long‑term strategies, including GPO performance, contracting, pricing, and competitive dynamics.
- Manages key strategic partner relationships to ensure the strategic vision and tactical goals are executed and projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborates with cross‑functional internal teams—Customer Engagement, Trade, Contract Strategy and Pricing, Marketing, Patient Support Services, Insights and Analytics, Public Policy & Government Affairs, Medical Affairs and Training—to inform comprehensive market access strategies and tactical plans.
- Oversees the development, production management, and implementation of tactical components of the Market Access Strategy to support HCP GPO activities, including:
- OAD and RPS account resources, initiatives, and partnership opportunities.
- Digital tools, including websites.
- Print and digital market access promotional materials.
- Non‑personal initiatives and media campaigns.
- Field team workshops and training.
- Meeting planning support and development of resources for conventions, speaker events, ad boards, POA meetings, etc.
- POA meeting strategies, materials, and workshops for the OAD and RPS teams.
- Manages OAD and RPS materials inventory, re‑approvals, production grids, ISI updates.
This role requires:
- 8–10+ years of progressive industry or relevant professional experience.
- 3–5+ years within the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical market, including payer marketing, brand marketing, GPO analytics, contracting, account management, customer‑facing roles, or health economics.
- Proven background in strong planning and tactical development skills.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple partners, meet tight timelines, and produce consistent, outstanding work products.
- Strong teamwork, cross‑functional collaboration, and leadership skills, including the ability to build collaborator trust, gain alignment, and navigate ambiguity.
- Excellent understanding of the U.S. market access landscape and the legal and regulatory environment for pharmaceuticals and biopharmaceuticals.
- Experience in the buy‑and‑bill space.

$183,100.00 – $305,200.00
