Here, you’ll advance your skills to design, develop, produce, and advise on a variety of internal and external communication materials and media that support the U.S. Navy.
Responsibilities
As a communications specialist on our team, you’ll closely impact the development of creative solutions to complex problems. Your self‑guided yet collaborative spirit will shape and nurture relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients to meet their strategic communications goals and objectives. You will author press releases, fact files, talking points, briefing cards, responses to queries (RTQ), media assessments, public affairs plans, internal messaging, newsletters, and social media content. Your creative‑thinking and business‑oriented mindset will guide your client to inform key audiences through words, images, and sound with tools like Cision and graphic design tools.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience with public affairs, including in the Department of War
Knowledge of public affairs policies, guidance, and AP Style Guide
Ability to collaborate on numerous campaigns at once, coordinating with multiple stakeholders
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Nice to Have
Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, and other graphic design tools
Knowledge of military acquisitions
Master’s degree
Clearance

Compensation
Salary range: $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
