Akkodis is seeking a Content Producer for a 6 Months contract role with a client in Santa Monica, California
Title: Content Producer
Location: Santa Monica, California
Contract: 6 Months contract
Pay Rate: $30-$35/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and curate timely, trending, and culturally relevant public content
- Collaborate with Trend Curators and Producers to deliver engaging content
- Track daily trends, tentpole moments, and emerging topics
- React quickly to breaking or unexpected cultural moments
- Discover and work with emerging content creators
- Surface fresh, trending, publicly submitted content
- Review and moderate content in real-time
- Analyze large volumes of content to identify themes and conversations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, moderation, product)
- Communicate and resolve platform/content issues during shifts
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of US short-form video trends & pop culture
- Deep understanding of Gen Alpha, Gen Z, and Millennials
- Highly proactive, reactive, and detail-oriented
- Strong research and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Sharp editorial judgment and content curation skills
- Up-to-date with current events and social media trends
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a relevant field
- 1+ years experience in digital media, content, or social trends
- Ability to work flexible schedules (evenings/weekends)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a similar digital/content platform environment
- Experience across multiple social media platforms
- Demonstrated interest in short-form content creation
- Flexible availability for night and weekend shifts
