3D Designer
The 3D Designer creates detailed drawings and 3D models for pipe support systems using CAD software. This role turns engineering instructions and customer requirements into accurate designs that manufacturing uses to build products. The Designer works with cross‑functional teams to ensure designs meet industry standards, customer needs, and budget goals.
Key Responsibilities
Create and update pipe support designs, drawings, and specifications based on engineering and customer input
Develop 2D and 3D models using CAD software
Ensure drawings, models, and bills of materials are accurate and complete
Work with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to deliver practical designs
Participate in design reviews and help solve technical issues
Ensure designs meet industry codes, standards, and budget requirements
Maintain organized design files and documentation
Review drawings before release to manufacturing to ensure quality and compliance
Required Skills & Experience
3–5+ years of CAD and 3D modeling experience (pipe supports preferred)
Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with 2D/3D design
Familiarity with tools such as Support Modeler, MicroStation, or PDMS
Knowledge of piping and structural design principles
Understanding of ASME B31.1 or similar industry standards
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing pipe support systems for manufacturing
Knowledge of additional industry codes and standards
Experience working with manufacturing and production teamsAbility to create cost‑effective design solutions
Work Environment
This is primarily an office‑based role using CAD and 3D modeling software. The position involves close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to develop and review designs.

Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
