Power BI Publisher/Report Developer - Athens, GA (Remote)

Contract Duration: 12 months

Seeking for a Power BI Publisher/Report Developer to lead the migration of IBM Cognos reports to Microsoft Power BI and develop new dashboards as part of the Enterprise Data Management and Analytics team.
Migrate approximately 400 Cognos reports to Power BI, ensuring alignment with EDMA practices, data governance, and ADA Title II compliance.
Develop and maintain additional Power BI dashboards and reports.
Provide production support, including data analysis, testing, issue resolution, and enhancements.
Create consolidated Power BI usage reports and metrics to support departmental needs.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to analyze business problems and develop Power BI solutions that meet requirements.
Participate in Power BI workspace and security architecture, versioning, and documentation processes.
Qualifications:

Expert problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and solve recurring issues.
Advanced experience with Oracle DBMS, PL/SQL, and SQL.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Power BI, including designing and building reports and dashboards.
Experience with IBM Cognos and Microsoft Fabric.
Knowledge of current and emerging data management and analytics technologies.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technology solutions in business terms.
Preferred: Knowledge of higher education data and experience with student information systems.
