Job Description
Are you motivated by progressive causes and creating website designs that drive, inspire, and propel action? Do you like creating intuitive and beautiful interfaces for web apps?
We’re looking for a motivated and creative UI/UX Designer to join our Creative Team through the 2026 election cycle.
The hiring process for this role will consist of an initial interview with our Operations team, a portfolio review and/or sample work test, a final interview with the VP of Creative, references and then an offer. We plan to begin interviews on June 25th, 2026.
Responsibilities
Working in collaboration with the Creative Director, the development team, and the accounts team, create moodboards, wireframes, and designs that reflect the information gathered during the Discovery phase and codified in the Requirements Document
Projects would include landing pages, websites, and web apps for candidates, advocacy organizations, and non‑profit organizations
Assist with turning client requirements into requirements documents and briefs
Participate in client meetings to understand their needs, goals, and challenges; presenting your work
Design graphics for websites, social media, emails, and ad‑serving platforms
Collaborate with the rest of the creative team, contributing to brainstorms and reviewing peers’ work, as appropriate
You’d be a great fit if you:
Demonstrate a strong understanding of UI/UX design principles, color, typography, and composition
Make informed design decisions and justify the rationale
Why did you place the element where you did vs. someplace else? Why did you choose these fonts or color palette?
Create new designs based off of existing work and brand guides
Create new designs without a brand guide
Take minimal brand guides (colors, fonts, and a logo) and innovate, developing them further into more robust design systems
Create and edit with both vector graphics and raster images
Juggle multiple tasks/assignments at the same time
Organize your work and manage your time effectively
Communicate effectively and collegially with colleagues and clients
Pay extraordinary attention to detail
Have the desire and willingness to explore and master new programs, including AI‑assisted programs, that help us do our work better and more effectively
Want to take the lead helping to push our web design practice forward
Are willing to put in that extra time and effort: sometimes we have to work longer days or on weekends, especially during campaign seasons
Required Skills
Strong proficiency in Figma
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Nice to have
Experience creating branding and logos
Experience with print design
