Position Overview

BMO is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to drive growth for the Emerging Middle Market segment ($10MM-$50MM). The role focuses on business development, managing high-value client relationships, structuring complex deals, and ensuring alignment with client needs and bank objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Facilitate growth for the bank through business development and management of key client relationships.
Maintain an outstanding record of revenue generation from sales and syndications.
Act as an escalation point for complex client issues, leveraging strategic problem‑solving.
Lead the structuring of high‑value, complex deals and oversee credit approvals.
Drive pricing coordination and negotiate high‑value transactions, ensuring alignment with client needs.
Manage high‑value client portfolios, driving cross‑selling, retention, and profitability.
Implement cross‑selling initiatives to generate revenue‑generating sales.
Lead market coverage strategies to expand portfolios and identify opportunities.
Represent the bank at industry forums and conferences, providing insights for strategic decision‑making.
Deliver performance and market trend reports to senior leadership.
Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Relationship Management, Account Management or Portfolio Management in a corporate or similar bank environment with sales metrics.
Bachelor’s degree required; Business Administration, Finance or Accounting preferred. Other related disciplines or commensurate work experience considered.
Advanced proficiency in project management, change management, product knowledge, regulatory compliance, deal structuring, portfolio management, credit risk assessment, stakeholder management and negotiation.
Strong customer relationship building skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
Salary

$122,400.00 – $228,000.00 (salaried; may include commission and performance‑based incentives).
