Job Description
This is a full-time, hybrid position requiring three days per week in the office, with regular local travel for site visits approximately once per week; no overnight travel is required, and use of a personal vehicle will be reimbursed for mileage. The Transmission Project Manager is responsible for managing planned and emergent capital construction projects across their territory, leading cross‑functional project teams that include design engineers, material procurement specialists, construction management and planning personnel, and construction crews. Core responsibilities include maintaining accurate project cost forecasts and schedules throughout the entire project lifecycle, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are completed on time, and proactively managing risk while driving collaboration and accountability across the team. This role typically manages multiple “White” or “Green I” projects in alignment with the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix and works with stakeholders ranging from individual contributors to senior department leadership, including executive management.

Skills and Requirements

Minimum of five years of project management experience

Graduation from a two‑year college or university

Working knowledge of project management principles

Strong decision-making, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills

Experience with risk management and project leadership

Proven ability to collaborate effectively as a team member

Experience in the utility industry and/or construction management

Working knowledge to proficiency in project scheduling and cost controls

Graduation from a four‑year college or university

Utility‑related technical certifications or training

PMI certification (PMP or CAPM)

CMII certification

Professional Engineer (PE) license
