Mid-To-Senior Level Php Backend Developer

We are seeking a mid-to-senior level PHP backend developer to support and enhance an existing web-based platform within a secure environment. This role will focus on understanding and working within an established codebase, integrating systems through APIs, and ensuring accurate data flow between internal and external platforms. The ideal candidate is someone who can quickly get up to speed, navigate existing architecture with minimal guesswork, and make thoughtful updates to improve system performance and communication between services.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and become familiar with the existing PHP codebase, including structure, logic, and data flow
Modify and enhance backend functionality to support updated system integrations
Work with API-driven communication to enable seamless data exchange between systems
Redirect and adapt existing system communication to integrate with new external platforms
Identify and resolve inconsistencies in data mapping and variable structures across systems
Collaborate across systems and technologies, including PHP, HTML/CSS, APIs, and databases
Apply secure development practices within a highly secure environment (no external exposure of proprietary code)
Support general development needs in a flexible role requiring cross-functional contributions
Manage end-to-end data flow: send data from internal portal to external server, receive response data, ensure accurate updates to internal databases
