Role Description The Assistant Account Executive is a full-time, hybrid role based in New York, NY, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home flexibility. In this role, you will support senior account executives in managing key retail and brand accounts, including tracking orders, maintaining line sheets, preparing sales materials, and assisting with client presentations. You will help coordinate product development timelines, sample requests, and approvals, working closely with design, production, and logistics teams to ensure on-time deliveries. Daily responsibilities include updating sales and performance reports, maintaining accurate data in internal systems, and responding to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner. You will also assist with market research, trend and competitive analysis, and trade show or showroom preparation to support the growth of existing and new business.
Qualifications
- Account coordination skills, including experience supporting client relationships, tracking deliverables, and assisting with presentations and meetings.
- Administrative and organizational skills to manage calendars, update reports and databases, handle documentation, and prioritize multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clear emails, prepare polished sales materials, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Basic analytical skills to review sales data, monitor account performance, and contribute insights to improve processes and results.
- Interest in fashion accessories, retail, or consumer products, with the ability to understand product assortments, trends, and brand positioning.
- Proficiency with common office software (such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook); experience with PLM, ERP, or CRM tools is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to shifting priorities, and maintain attention to detail under tight timelines.
- Post-secondary education in business, fashion, merchandising, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
