PRIMARY PURPOSE
Accompany and assist in teaching solos, small ensembles, and choral groups in rehearsals and at performances.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Music, Music Education, or Music Performance
- Certification: Valid Texas teaching certificate, or ability to complete Alternative Certification Program leading to Texas Certification
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Primary instrument–piano; high degree of proficiency on piano
- Must be able to sight‑read music and read an open score
- Must be able to follow conductor and play choral and vocal accompaniments
- Knowledge of healthy vocal techniques and choral pedagogy
Experience
- At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
