Summary
The Director, Celebrity And Talent Relations will lead celebrity, VIP, and influencer strategy for the North American market to increase brand desirability and awareness. This role manages relationships, placements, and regional partnerships while working closely with Brand Marketing, Communications, Events, and Global Celebrity teams. The position reports to the VP, Brand Marketing & Communications North America and drives both organic and negotiated talent initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead VIP, influencer, and celebrity strategy in market.
- Manage celebrity/VIP/influencer relationships including communication, negotiation, styling, events, product management, and placements.
- Liaise with PR and Communications to maximize press coverage and ensure accurate brand crediting for placements.
- Build and nurture relationships with celebrities, stylists, publicists, agents, and studios to secure placements, media coverage, and paid social opportunities.
- Work cross-functionally with Events, Media, and Communications to execute KOL and celebrity strategies for brand initiatives.
- Negotiate and secure local ambassador contracts and identify celebrity attendance for local and global events.
- Manage VIP gifting programs and budgets and oversee sample trafficking and loans via the Celebrity Relations Coordinator.
Requirements
- 10+ years of VIP relations management and press experience.
- Established, well-connected network with celebrities and talent in US and Canadian markets.
- Experience representing luxury brands with strong product and brand knowledge.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, with proven follow-through.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced matrix environment and strong, polished communication skills.
