Rod Painter

Operates painting equipment and auxiliary equipment. Tests and mixes paint as required. Keeps paint pots supplied with paint of correct quality. Starts up and shuts down the equipment as required. Observes rods on conveyors as they pass through the unit, culling out crooked rods. Keeps rods separated and packaged for each separate size and grade. Paints identification color on protectors. Responsible for quality and quantity of work helpers. Obtains reasonable production with minimum supervision. Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner. Informs supervisor of any malfunction of equipment. Minimum Qualifications:Two year technical degree or equivalent education and/or experience.
