Do you live for Friday night lights, packed stands, big plays, and the energy of local sports? Ottumwa Radio Group is hiring a Part‑Time Play‑by‑Play Announcer for Cardinal Football broadcasts streamed live on the Ottumwa Radio YouTube Channel. We’re looking for someone with energy, personality, quick thinking, and a true passion for high school athletics and local communities.
Responsibilities

Provide live play‑by‑play coverage of Cardinal Football games
Deliver exciting, accurate, and engaging game calls
Prepare game notes, player information, and statistics
Arrive early for setup and broadcast preparation
Work with producers, engineers, and sports staff
Represent Ottumwa Radio Group professionally at events
Help create a positive experience for listeners, viewers, athletes, and sponsors
Preferred Qualifications

Strong speaking voice and communication skills
Knowledge of football rules and terminology
Ability to think quickly under pressure
Dependable and punctual
Broadcasting, announcing, podcasting, or public speaking experience preferred
Passion for local sports is a must
Compensation

$50 per game plus mileage reimbursement
