Basketball season in Southeast Iowa is electric — and we need a voice behind the mic to bring the action to life. Ottumwa Radio Group is seeking a Part-Time Play-by-Play Announcer for Fairfield Boys & Girls Basketball broadcasts streamed live on the Ottumwa Radio YouTube Channel. If you can paint the picture of a fast break, buzzer beater, or packed rivalry game with excitement and professionalism, this could be your shot.
Responsibilities

Broadcast live Fairfield Boys & Girls Basketball games
Deliver energetic and accurate play-by-play commentary
Research teams, players, and storylines before broadcasts
Coordinate with broadcast staff during live events
Maintain professionalism on-air and in the community
Engage listeners and create an entertaining broadcast experience
Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of basketball rules and flow of the game
Clear and confident speaking ability
Ability to stay composed during live broadcasts
Strong attention to detail
Dependable transportation and scheduling flexibility
Previous broadcasting or announcing experience preferred, but not required
Compensation

$50 per game plus mileage reimbursement
