Overview
The CBS Stations’ Local Ad Sales team is tasked with driving all local revenue across the 28 owned & operating CBS Television Stations and all Paramount Streaming & digital assets.
Position Overview
CBS Stations/Paramount is seeking an experienced, high‑performing sales executive to lead strategic partnerships with the industry’s top advertising agencies. This highly visible role will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding Paramount’s share of business across the full Paramount Skydance portfolio, including CBS Stations, Paramount+, Pluto TV, and more.
As a key member of the Key Agency Team, this individual will serve as a senior sales lead and trusted partner to major agency stakeholders, developing high‑impact, multi‑platform advertising solutions across linear, streaming, and digital platforms. The role requires a strategic seller with deep agency relationships, remarkable consultative sales skills, and the ability to influence and grow business at the highest levels of the advertising ecosystem.
Position Expectations
Own and grow strategic relationships with key decision‑makers across defined agencies on behalf of the CBS owned & operating television stations and Paramount Streaming
Drive significant linear and digital revenue growth through innovative, integrated client solutions
Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities while expanding existing agency partnerships
Act as a strategic consultant to agency partners by understanding client goals and aligning Paramount’s portfolio to deliver measurable business outcomes
Develop customized cross‑platform proposals leveraging broadcast, streaming, digital, branded content, and sponsorship opportunities
Collaborate closely with internal sales, marketing, research, operations, and leadership teams to develop and execute revenue‑driving strategies
Lead campaign execution from pre‑sale strategy through post‑campaign recap and performance analysis
Utilize marketplace intelligence, competitive insights, and consumer trends to identify opportunities for growth and strengthen Paramount’s market position
Work closely with and develop Account Managers that support the agency business
Qualifications
10+ years of multi‑platform media sales experience
5+ years managing large agency relationships
Proven track record of driving revenue growth and securing high‑value advertising partnerships
Deep understanding of the advertising marketplace, including linear TV, streaming, and digital media
Strong strategic selling, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
Excellent communication and relationship‑management abilities
Ability to translate complex media solutions into clear, compelling value propositions for clients and agencies
Established reputation as a collaborative, solutions‑oriented sales leader
Preferred Skills & Experience
Self‑motivated, highly organized, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously
Experience with WideOrbit, Salesforce, PowerPoint, and Excel preferred
Strong analytical, strategic, and leadership capabilities
Additional Information
Hiring salary range: $100,000.00 – $145,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
This position is eligible to earn sales incentive compensation.
