Job Summary
WILX-TV in Lansing, MI, is searching for an experienced MMJ for our Lifestyle Show. The show is segment and interview‑based, highlighting events and unique storytelling in Mid‑Michigan. The role requires strong ad‑libbing and interview skills, with 2–3 years of on‑air experience preferred. Familiarity with ENPS, Adobe Premiere Editing System, and camera gear is required.

Responsibilities

Assisting the Producer with writing show segments

Shooting and editing segments

Interviewing show guests/clients both in‑studio and on location when needed

Collecting information, video, or photos at remote locations for post‑production

Greeting and assisting guests during show preparations

Pitching story ideas for the show

Researching show topics and developing questions for guests in coordination with the Producer

Participating in events—either station‑sponsored or other—to promote the show

Maintaining a strong social media account and assisting with all online content for the website/social media

Continuously providing feedback on how the show can be improved and taken to the next level

Other duties as assigned by the Marketing Director

Qualifications

Proven experience as an on‑air personality or host, acting as a backup or for interviews

Ability to prioritize and address multiple projects with varying production timelines

Energetic, positive, and great in a team environment

Highly motivated self‑starter, able to work well alone and as part of a team

Excellent communication, organizational skills, and creativity
