Designer
What could be more exciting than putting your mark on some of the world’s most famous and well-loved fashion brands? As a designer for Centric Brands, you’ll use your skills and creativity to create designs based on style plans, sales needs and emerging trends. You will also ensure that your work can be transformed into a finished product in a timely manner and at an appropriate price point. This means working not only with our technical design and production teams, but also building collaborative relationships with outside vendors and other external stakeholders. Specific Responsibilities Would Include
The Associate, Designer (Design Ops) will work closely with the Sr. Product Development Manager and serve as a partner to the Creative team supporting all technical aspects of the design process including PLM packages and pre-production design work.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with Design and Cross-functional development teams to create detailed PLM Tech packs for all product categories
Attend style review meetings with the design team to understand vision / concepts and product details prior to initiating the tech pack process
Generate Bill of Material (BOM) pages comprised of all garment components: fabrics, trims, embellishments, labels and packaging
Create and modify Illustrator manufacturing and detail pages for new silhouettes
Build manufacturing worksheets to communicate proper stitching and seaming specifications using the ISO 4915 stitch matrix
Collaborate with the Production Artists to ensure all aspects of the PLM techpacks are aligned prior to hand off
Attend salesman sample meetings to review seasonal product
Modify and update PLM information as needed throughout the development / production process
Support project management activities by participating in project handoffs, logging and tracking work within management charts, and maintaining accurate project status updates throughout the development process
Participate in creating manuals to standardize Design Ops development processes
Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have
Understanding of the product development process, including key milestones from concept through production
Knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, seam types and basic fit principles
Technical knowledge of fabric qualities, constructions and finishes for all product categories
Proficiency in Adobe suite- specifically Illustrator and Photoshop
Working knowledge of FlexPLM or similar Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
Understanding of children's product safety requirements and compliance standards
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to identify issues and propose practical solutions
Ability to work in a fast pace, high performance environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability
Bachelor’s Degree in Apparel Design or related field
2-4 years of relevant design experience

Salary Range: $66,300 - $70,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
