Overview
Schneider Electric’s Industry Services Field Service Representatives collaborate with customers, sales representatives, team members and third‑party partners to install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment in a variety of dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

Service, install, and repair customer equipment.

Perform warranty work and startup service.

Conduct startup/commissioning on Schneider Variable Frequency Drives.

Test, calibrate, check, correct, adjust, and replace components on customer drive products.

Construct and test circuits and equipment using tools, machines, computers, workstations, circuit diagrams, and test instruments.

Provide technical support in product service, product training and applications, including on‑site audits.

Support serviceable Schneider equipment such as electrical switchgear, PDUs, RPPs, BMS systems, PLCs, HMIs, drives, power‑monitoring equipment and protective relays.

Document required information for each site in a technical report.

Analyze complex problems in equipment and machinery, interpreting maintenance manuals and using systems and electronics knowledge to isolate and correct faults.

Assist in developing and implementing design modifications, providing installation support for those modifications.

Develop and deliver training courseware to customers and other service representatives.

Travel for training and to support job‑site requirements in various areas.

Qualifications

Vocational education, military training, or transferable experience in electronics, electrical theory or a similar discipline.

At least 2 years of relevant mechanical, electrical and/or power‑distribution service experience and technical proficiency in electronic/electrical component theory.

Experience with Variable Frequency Drives.

Experience writing reports and presenting information and responses to managers, clients, and customers.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Experience in testing, maintenance, and/or upgrades of low or medium‑voltage switchgear, transformers, relay protection systems, and control systems.

Ability to interpret blueprints and other service documents, including electrical drawings.

Capacity to move service equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
