Job Overview Abbott is hiring a Regional Sales Director (RSD) for the Structural Hearts' TEER team in the Northern CA / Hawaii region. The RSD must live in the geography of the region and travel 50‑75% of the time. This role ensures that the assigned region meets or exceeds sales and profitability objectives.
Responsibilities Formulate sales strategies for markets within the assigned geography and product lines to attain revenue goals set by the company.
Work with sales representatives to identify and evaluate market opportunities, sales potential, and to establish and achieve sales objectives.
Manage and coach sales representatives, clinical representatives, and other field personnel.
Negotiate contracts with external customers and keep the company informed of market dynamics and competitive activity.
Recruit, coach and develop organizational talent, fostering a diverse workplace and enabling all participants to contribute to their full potential.
Create an entrepreneurial environment and provide direction and guidance to exempt specialists and/or supervisory staff.
Build strategic partnerships to further departmental and organizational objectives.
Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures including FDA, BSI, and EEO regulations.
Develop, monitor, and adjust the annual budget for department(s).
Identify new work processes and improve utilization of human and material resources within the assigned or related functions.
Investigate and solve problems that impact work processes and personnel within or across units or departments.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree.
5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Ability to provide direction and monitor progress of exempt specialists and/or supervisory staff toward departmental goals.
Ability to monitor costs of projects and human and material resources within a department or unit.
Ability to monitor company-wide indicators such as market share and profitability and external environment in area of technical or professional responsibility.
Ability to perform this job in a quality system environment.
Knowledge of how to develop and identify new work processes and improved utilization of resources.
Experience facilitating continuous improvement programs, investigating, and solving problems.
Verifiable vendor credentialing requirements, including COVID‑19 vaccination, with accommodations available as needed.
Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree preferred.
Prior experience and knowledge of medical devices, especially interventional cardiology.
Strong consideration given to candidates with Structural Heart experience.
Additional Information Base pay range: $113,300.00 – $226,700.00. Travel required: 50‑75% of the time. This position is located in United States > California : Remote. The role includes significant work activities such as prolonged sitting or standing and driving.
