PRODUCTION TECHINICIAN

Job Summary
We are looking for a hard‑working Production Technician to assist in the mattress manufacturing process. The Production Technician’s responsibilities involve working across four sub‑departments: Glue and Packaging, CNC, Foam Recycling, and Material Control. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and efficient production environment, assembling products, operating machinery, and ensuring that production targets are met.

Day Shift 7:00 am‑6 pm, M‑F (11‑hour shift with two 15‑minute breaks and one 30‑minute lunch break)

Duties/Responsibilities
General Duties
Meeting production targets
Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor.
Following production guidelines and specifications.
Reporting any issues to the team leader or supervisor on duty.
Performing other related tasks as assigned.
Glue and Packaging (Mattress Production Line) Responsibilities
Assembling products and parts according to production guidelines and specifications.
Applying adhesives and ensuring proper bonding of mattress components.
Inspecting finished products for any defects or inconsistencies.
Packaging finished mattresses for shipment, ensuring they meet quality standards.
Operating and maintaining machinery and production line equipment.
Monitoring the assembly line and removing faulty products.
CNC Department (Foam Cutting) Responsibilities
Assisting CNC Machine operators to cut foam according to precise specifications.
Ensuring that foam pieces are cut accurately and efficiently.
Assisting with routine maintenance on CNC machinery and equipment.
Collecting and sorting scrap foam from the production floor.
Baling scrap foam for sale to vendors.
Maintaining records of recycled foam and coordinating with vendors for pick‑up.
Material Control Responsibilities
Managing the movement of foam and other materials between production departments.
Ensuring that all necessary materials are available for production processes.
Keeping accurate inventory records and reporting any discrepancies.

High School Diploma/GED, preferred but not required
No experience needed, we will provide the training and support needed for you to succeed at your job
Experience operating manufacturing machinery is a plus

Physical Requirements
Very Heavy work: Lifting up to 50 pounds constantly on your own & up to 100 pounds via team lift frequently during a 10‑hour shift.
Standing: To remain on one’s feet in an upright position without moving about during a 10‑hour shift with two 15‑minute breaks and a 30‑minute lunch break.
Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
Stooping: Bending the body forward and down while bending the spine at the waist 45 degrees or more either over something below waist level or down towards an object on or near the ground.
Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discriminations in sound.
Vision: The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work.
Temperature: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions, but, must be able to adapt to cold or hot temperatures.
Working Conditions
Air‑conditioned warehouse and manufacturing environment.
This position requires standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks doing heavy lifting.
The work environment may involve exposure to loud noises, chemicals, and machinery.
