Job Description Overview

Based in Jacksonville, Florida, the Public Information Specialist supports public outreach and communications for infrastructure projects. This role offers growth in stakeholder engagement, project coordination, and public communication.
Your Role

Support planning and execution of public outreach efforts for projects of varying size and complexity, coordinate with internal teams, identify outreach objectives, assist in public meetings, prepare outreach materials, develop communications content such as newsletters, fact sheets, presentations and web updates, collaborate with clients, assist in implementing Public Outreach Plans, track activities, prepare reports, build stakeholder relationships, and provide coordination support.
About You

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or public outreach.
Strong writing and verbal communication skills, tailoring messaging to audiences.
Experience creating communications materials such as newsletters, social content, presentations, and reports.
Organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and thrive in fast‑paced environments.
Collaborative team player with a proactive, growth‑oriented mindset.
Proficient with standard office and communication tools.
Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel locally as needed.

Expected Compensation

Range: $65,000 – $85,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, and location.
