Platform Technologies will lead the downstream marketing strategy for enabling technology platforms, including robotics and digital solutions. This role is responsible for building and executing a unified platform strategy that drives adoption, commercial performance, and long-term growth across multiple orthopedic indications.Operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, this leader will define go-to-market approaches, optimize commercial models, and ensure successful product lifecycle management across the U.S. market.Platform Strategy & Marketing LeadershipDefine and lead U.S. platform-level marketing strategy across robotics and digital technology solutionsShape value propositions, positioning, and demand generation strategiesDevelop annual and long-range marketing plans, including segmentation and targetingAlign platform strategy with indication-based marketing teamsGo-to-Market & Commercial StrategyOwn go-to-market strategies for capital and enabling technologiesDevelop pricing and commercial models (capital, service, software, value-based)Drive adoption across key customer segments including IDNs and ASCsPartner with sales teams to enable effective commercializationForecasting & Business PlanningLead demand forecasting, revenue planning, and performance trackingEstablish and monitor KPIs tied to adoption, utilization, and growthPartner with Finance and Supply Chain on planning and capital deploymentProvide insights and updates to senior leadershipProduct Lifecycle ManagementLead full lifecycle management including launches, upgrades, and phase-out strategiesDrive installed base optimization and asset utilization strategiesEnsure seamless customer transitions and minimal disruptionLaunch Excellence LeadershipBuild and lead a U.S. downstream Launch Excellence capabilityDevelop standardized frameworks, tools, and governance for launchesEnsure alignment across marketing, sales enablement, and trainingDrive continuous improvement through post-launch performance trackingQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferredSignificant experience in marketing, product management, or commercial strategyLeadership experience within MedTech; robotics or digital solutions strongly preferredProven track record in downstream marketing, go-to-market strategy, and lifecycle managementStrong financial acumen, including forecasting and pricing strategyTravel Amount: 50%You Unlimited.We believe in creating the greatest good for society. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
