Territory Sales Manager, Oncology – Denver, Colorado
Sumitomo Pharma Co., Ltd. is a global pharmaceutical company dedicated to bringing innovative therapies to patients. We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated Territory Sales Manager to focus on prostate cancer products in the Denver, Colorado region.
Responsibilities
Maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders including medical oncology, urology, radiation oncology providers, medical groups, patient advocacy groups, and support staff for prostate cancer treatment.
Become an expert in product information and effectively verbalize clinically relevant and approved messaging to all stakeholders.
Drive product demand through clinically meaningful dialogue with healthcare professionals, deep understanding of the prostate cancer patient journey, product knowledge, and use of all approved educational resources.
Create and implement an effective territory business plan to guide strategy, tactics, and track progress.
Monitor and assess competitive sales activity in the market and share insights with leadership.
Partner with Regional Sales Managers, Marketing, Training and Development, Commercial Operations, Market Access, and other internal stakeholders to execute sales goals.
Act in compliance with commercial compliance policy and all applicable federal and state laws related to product promotion and information dissemination.
Qualifications
BA or BS in life sciences or business administration.
7+ years of validated commercial experience in the pharmaceutical, diagnostic or healthcare industry, preferably in specialty pharmaceuticals.
Current or very recent experience in urology, oncology or men’s health.
Recent oncology and/or urology product promotion or launch experience preferred.
Experience working in a startup or entrepreneurial culture is a plus.
Account management, market access, or advocacy experience desirable.
Experience in account-based settings such as academic hospitals and integrated delivery networks (IDNs).
Travel, Physical Demands, and Work Environment
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle report required.
Approximately 75–80% travel, including overnight travel as needed.
Regular use of standard office equipment, extended computer use, sitting, occasional standing, walking, and manual tasks up to 20 lb.
Close vision required for computer usage.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range: $150,400 – $188,000.
Merit-based salary increases, short incentive plan participation, 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance.
Flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays, additional time off during last week of December, and 80 hours of paid sick time upon hire with yearly accrual.
