Job Summary
The Account Specialist generates sales revenue and meets sales targets through the creation and renewal of sales contracts, primarily via outbound and inbound telephone sales.

Responsibilities

Drive revenue goal attainment by servicing and growing relationships with existing clients and by generating new business through cold calls in assigned territories.

Identify client needs and develop persuasive proposals to meet those needs and opportunities.

Ensure customer satisfaction by facilitating all aspects of the customer's account in cooperation with creative, operations, marketing, collections, and finance staff.

Develop action plans and schedules to meet specific sales targets.

Prepare compelling and competitive proposals and presentations.

Negotiate fees or services with clients, with management approval.

Communicate and coordinate with internal departments to sufficiently service clients.

Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications
Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, experience, or military experience required.

Work Experience

Minimum two (2) years of sales experience or other relevant work experience preferred.

Demonstrated track record of business‑to‑business and progressive sales experience strongly preferred.

Skills

Strong organizational / time‑management skills and detail oriented.

Skilled in working closely with customers to develop and cultivate client relationships to grow accounts.

Sales achievement with experience in consultative or needs‑based selling techniques.

Have a collaborative and professional style with the objective of building strong relationships with diverse customer groups and vendors.

Be a self‑starter with a diligent work ethic and demonstrate flexibility.

Able to multi‑task and stay calm under pressure.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including delivering effective presentations.

Able to complete required math calculations.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and social media platforms.

Account Management:

Building long‑term, value‑based relationships with accounts, developing business, and maximizing the revenue they generate while reducing time and costs.

Fostering Communication:

Listening and communicating openly, honestly, and respectfully with different audiences.

Initiative:

Dealing with situations and issues proactively and persistently, seizing opportunities.

Managing the Sales Process:

Following the organization’s sales methodology to achieve sales targets.

Negotiating:

Seeking mutually acceptable solutions to disputes.

Networking:

Establishing, sustaining, and fostering professional contacts.

Presentation:

Preparing and delivering presentations in a variety of formal and informal settings.

Physical Demands

Work both in an office environment and in the field, making sales calls and servicing existing accounts.

Ability to lift and move items up to 15 pounds.

Ability to see written documents and computer screens and adjust focus.

Other Requirements

able to travel outside the office at least 25% of the time for meetings and industry events;

has a valid driver’s license;

access to a reliable vehicle.

Targeted Compensation Rate
Rate: $24.04 + Commission

Hourly roles are overtime eligible.

This position may be bonus eligible, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
