Sr PM - Continuous Improvement
Onsite position in Washington, DC. 12‑month+ term.

Position Overview
Lead the PMO’s Release Management and Continuous Improvement discipline, overseeing all aspects of the SDLC. Manage a portfolio of projects aimed at reducing waste, improving quality, and delivering measurable KPIs such as waste reduction, efficiency improvements, and quality pass rates.

Responsibilities

Drive the culture of sustainable continuous improvement and operational excellence across the organization.

Conduct regular release meetings with multiple disciplines to ensure timely product delivery.

Facilitate planning, execution, and follow‑up of improvement initiatives, including scheduling and status reviews.

Report on and monitor quantitative KPIs related to waste reduction, efficiency, quality, and process control.

Lead project management transformation and change‑management initiatives.

Collaborate with department managers, directors, and vendors to prioritize work, set deadlines, and allocate resources.

Ensure project governance, roles, responsibilities, and outcomes are maintained and improved.

Provide consistent reporting cadence and accountability for stakeholders.

Escalate issues to senior management and directors as needed.

Apply best practices, methodologies, and project management standards across the portfolio.

Qualifications

Minimum 16+ years of professional experience.

Proven track record of SDLC completion and delivery of high‑value, client‑facing software projects.

10+ years progressive experience in project and program management.

15+ years managing people, performance, and change‑management practices for medium to large teams.

10+ years of experience in a Project Management Office (PMO) setting.

10+ years of experience devising or modifying procedures to solve complex problems.

7+ years of operational leadership or consultative experience in a hospital or health‑system setting.

10+ years program development experience based on clinical evidence/outcomes and process‑flow analysis.

15+ years of strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving experience.

7+ years thorough understanding of core business processes within healthcare organizations.

15+ years of management experience of individual contributors and supervisors.

Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field (equivalent experience acceptable).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office/PowerPoint.

Qualified for the STaR2 Masters Level Labor Category.

Additional Skills

Experience with business workflow processes.

Vendor management and stakeholder engagement.

Strong communication and stakeholder‑visibility skills.

Knowledge of project management standards, policies, and procedures.
