Qualifications

Good understanding of responsive web design and a mobile first approach to development

Strong portfolio of work

Clean coding methods

CSS/CSS3

HTLM/HTML 5

SASS

JQUERY

AngularJS / ReactJS

NextJS (advantageous)

GIT (version control)

SEO and UX understanding

Having implemented a number of websites successfully

Creating, editing or modifying templates for a CMS or web development framework.

Building web pages that degrade responsively whilst maintaining speed and performance

Need to work closely with other developers and designers, and incorporate feedback from them

Must be able to code own responsive template from PSD

Understanding of Bootstrap

Ability to work on Macintosh computer

Your Key Responsibilities

Advise on optimisation tactics / best practice

Ability to work in a team

Campaign sites, newsletters, email signatures, maintenance, and support issues

Good at pro-actively identify and implement new ideas/solutions

Improving the quality and functionality of our existing systems

Evaluating new technologies for their feasibility and usefulness

Collaborating with other development teams and freelancers

Continually growing, learning, and sharing as we strive to keep pushing our technical boundaries

Manage your own time well and meet deadlines

A Little Bit About You

A strong visual eye and understanding of design concepts is necessary

Good design eye and skills

Passionate about learning and continuous improvement

Ability to be a team player and grow as the needs of the business grows

Solid troubleshooting skills

Brownie Points (Not required, but advantageous)

Understanding of different CMS platforms such as Drupal, Joomla and Umbraco

You have an appreciation for testing and automation.

Terms of Contract

8:00 to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. The schedule is ‘deadline-driven’ i.e. on occasions when deadlines are tight, work may be required outside these hours

15 working days paid leave per annum

Employment will be subject to an initial 5-month trial period whereby performance will be appraised and reviewed
