Production Director – Naval Shipboard Missile Systems (SM‑6 FY27+ Multi‑Year Program)

Location: Tucson, AZ (Onsite). Relocation assistance not available. Security clearance: active US Secret clearance required; U.S. citizenship required.
Responsibilities

Lead proposal development and execution of the FY27+ multi‑year contract.
Collaborate closely with NSMS directorates to facilitate transition to a new SM‑6 configuration and increase throughput from ~120 missiles per year to 500 missiles per year by 2030.
Set program priorities, resolve conflicts, implement gates, and lead major reviews with the customer.
Coordinate and align interactions, dependencies, and transactions between customers, suppliers, and internal performing parties.
Manage profit and loss, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) development and execution, and program Estimate at Completions (EACs).
Define program tasking and milestones; monitor adherence to cost, schedule, technical performance, and factory/supplier readiness.
Champion program management best practices for production execution.
Lead change management activities, including proposing and implementing constructive changes.
Travel up to 30% or more domestically for business engagements with customers, partners, and teammates.
Qualifications (Required)

University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and at least 10 years of experience.
Prior experience executing large‑scale production programs, including factory readiness, supplier readiness, and configuration transitions.
Experience leading cross‑functional teams across engineering, operations, contracts, finance, and supply chain.
Experience with Risk & Opportunity Management and Earned Value Management.
Experience with rate‑ramp planning, industrial base growth, and producibility improvement.
Experience managing program financials, including EACs, AOP, and profit & loss.
Experience working with and supporting customer and internal stakeholder engagement.
Preferred Qualifications

Raytheon Program Management Certification Level 3 or ability to obtain within a year.
Program execution experience managing staffing, assignments, and resources.
Working knowledge of contract formation, execution, and management.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
