Digital Communications Specialist II

Overview
This position will lead the maintenance and operations of the Department of Vermont Health Access (DVHA) websites and other digital content published by DVHA. They will manage both fast‑pace projects with quick turnarounds and longer, strategic projects while remaining highly collaborative yet independent. The role requires frequent updates, strong organization, and meticulous tracking of website tasks.

Experience Desired

Website administration, specifically Drupal 10

Website strategy

Website design

Working with an interdisciplinary team

Using a project management tool

Microsoft Office suite

Applicant Should Have

Strong organizational skills

Attention to detail

Familiarity with plain language

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, computer science, web or graphic design, political science, education, or related field AND three (3) or more years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or related field.

Or five (5) years or more of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or related field.

Or one (1) year experience as Digital Communications Specialist I with the Agency of Education.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in media and client relations or public policy with a strong focus in digital, web or social media.
