Location: Villanova, PA

Work Schedule: Full‑time, 12‑month, average 40 hours per week

Position Summary
The Director of Operations will be responsible for the overall internal day‑to‑day operations of our nationally recognized Division I FCS football program. This position supports student‑athletes and coaches in the overall development and operations of the program, ensuring compliance with University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
Manage and oversee all travel plans and logistical operations for the Football program, including ground transportation, air travel, hotels, and meals.
Act as primary football office representative with Athletics Facilities and Operations regarding scheduling practices and events; serve as primary contact for game management and attend all game management meetings.
Assist football staff with everyday tasks such as study hall, ordering office supplies, and transportation for student‑athletes.
Take notes at staff meetings and circulate minutes.
Collaborate with the Athletics Student‑Athlete Development team to plan and schedule community service activities.
Plan and organize all training table meals for the football program in coordination with University Dining Services and Oakview Group.
Manage NCAA Compliance forms and ensure all compliance deadlines are met.
Maintain contact information for student‑athletes, parents, alumni, and donors relevant to the program.
Support compliance with University policies and procedures.
Assist in recruiting and orienting new staff for the football program.
Submit budget requests through ARMS and reconcile expenses for team meal money, travel, and recruiting.
Approve and reconcile all invoices for football office expenditures; support responsible use of department funds.
Coordinate all aspects of special events, including the annual football banquet, Lou Ferry Golf Outing, and Senior Day activities.
Organize logistics for football recruiting weekends and official visits.
Promote and assist with on‑campus bone marrow drive initiatives.
Serve as liaison with Team Impact to ensure a positive experience for team members.
Work with Athletics Marketing to assist in brand management of Villanova Football, enhancing game‑day atmosphere and fan experience.
Manage social media accounts for the head coach and team; collaborate with Athletics social media/marketing team to maintain a consistent brand presence.
Attend and actively participate in marketing meetings; share meeting content with football staff.
Collaborate with Athletics Communications to maximize and update the web presence.
Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Minimum 2 years of experience working in a college sports program, preferably football.
Strong organizational and communication skills; attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with professional staff and student employees.
Familiarity with individual and team travel logistics; understanding of basic budgeting principles.
General knowledge of NCAA rules.
Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy.
Proficiency with basic computer applications, including email, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a football office.
Experience with travel logistics for teams.
Familiarity with University or departmental policies and procedures.
Experience supporting compliance, record‑keeping, or customer service in higher education.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Professional work environment.
May require evening and weekend hours.
Travel required.
Salary and Classification
Salary Grade: 14
Salary Range: $61,100 – $64,500 (final salary based on qualifications, budget availability, market data, and internal equity)
Classification: Exempt
