Seeking a highly skilled Technical Director for a full-time, on-site position in Los Angeles, who will manage live switching, oversee control room setups, and ensure seamless signal management during a flagship daily live show.
Key responsibilities
Physically operate the production switcher during live broadcasts, executing video effects on cue
Configure and maintain control room architecture, ensuring consistency in show appearance
Manage incoming and outgoing signals, integrating remote guests with low-latency video and audio
Required qualifications
5+ years of experience in live technical directing for fast-paced programming
Proficiency with industry-standard switchers and streaming platforms such as vMix, NewTek TriCaster, or Blackmagic ATEM
Expert knowledge of modern video transport workflows, including NDI and RTMP
Exceptional reaction time and spatial awareness in a live broadcasting environment
Proactive troubleshooting skills with a strong ability to devise backup plans under pressure
