Responsibilities

Define the governance vision and strategic roadmap for TikTok Shop Listing Governance in the United States. Oversee the full lifecycle of listing governance policies.

Proactively identify and assess emerging risks related to product listings, including product safety, misrepresentation, regulatory compliance, and marketplace manipulation.

Leverage data insights, market intelligence, and user behavior signals to develop proactive governance strategies.

Build and lead a high‑performing governance team: recruit, mentor, and lead a US Listing Governance policy professionals.

Foster a collaborative culture focused on deep domain expertise, critical thinking, operational impact, and continuous professional development.

Drive cross‑functional collaboration with Legal, Product, Trust & Safety, Engineering, Operations, and Data Science teams to ensure policies are technically feasible, operationally scalable, clearly communicated, and consistently enforced.

Advance AI‑driven governance capabilities: lead the transformation of listing governance practices by adopting advanced technologies, including large language models (LLMs).

Champion globalization strategy & marketplace consistency: align US listing governance with global governance frameworks while ensuring compliance with US regulatory and market requirements.

Develop scalable governance models that support both local relevance and global consistency across TikTok Shop markets.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience, with significant experience in e-commerce governance, marketplace operations, product compliance, trust & safety, or ecosystem health.

4+ years of proven experience leading and managing high‑performing teams in governance, policy, or marketplace risk functions.

Proven track record developing, implementing, and enforcing end‑to‑end governance policies and risk mitigation strategies for e-commerce marketplaces.

Strong understanding of product compliance, consumer protection, and listing quality management in digital marketplaces.

Highly proactive, results‑oriented, action‑driven, with strong critical thinking skills and ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced environments.

Demonstrated success working in a matrix environment and ability to influence key stakeholders.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities in building, developing, and motivating teams toward high performance.

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in Seattle is $180,310 - $364,800 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and location.
