Supervisor Production

Position

Production Supervisor – Prepared Foods Division at Tyson Foods.
Responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring a safe working environment.
Responsibilities

Hire, train, retain, and counsel team members.
Educate team on benefits, compensations, and company policies.
Guide the team in stretches before their shift and rotate workstations throughout the shift.
Check daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders, accurate shipments, record keeping, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.
Ensure all workstations on your line are staffed before start-up of production.
Ensure all machinery is performing and all workstations have passed USDA Inspection.
Promote safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.
Oversee processing operations and work with other supervisors to solve problems.
Provide continuous education on the importance of quality.
Perform other responsibilities as the need arises.
Requirements

Education: High school diploma; additional vocational or college courses preferred.
Experience: 1+ years in a manufacturing environment and prior supervisory experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Special Skills: Strong leadership and problem‑solving skills; strong work ethic; ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment.
Travel: Some travel required (other facilities or corporate).
Preferred Skills (Not Required): Knowledge of food industry processes and equipment, understanding of financial indicators/analysis, and experience in budget development/management.
Additional Information

Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday 2:15PM–12:30AM, some Saturdays based on business needs.
Location: Onsite at our Hutchinson Plant; 9 N Washington South Hutchinson, KS67505.
