Coordinator Of Communications And Pre-K/Federal Programs (P2323)
The Coordinator of Communications and Pre-K/Federal Programs serves as a liaison with the news media, manages special school events, and works with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents to communicate district messages, initiatives, and successes. The Coordinator of Communications and Pre-K/Federal Programs works cooperatively with the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction to plan, coordinate, implement and monitor ESE A Federal Programs including Title I and Title II; plans, manages and monitors the development of the comprehensive preschool program; and works cooperatively with central office staff to deliver services consistent with federal, state, and county policies and regulations.
Responsibilities include handling all media calls, serving as a liaison between the school system and the news media, building community support, promoting public schools, supporting economic development, communicating district messages, strategizing with the Superintendent and leadership team, enhancing the quality of the school/county organization, managing the county website and social media promotions, providing public relations for levies, bonds, and school news, serving as a crisis committee spokesperson, managing advertising, maintaining professional work habits, and administering, revising, and monitoring Title I and Title III programs.
Qualifications include administrative experience with special school events, holding or qualifying for a West Virginia Professional Administrative Certificate, having a minimum of five years of teaching and/or educational administrative experience, and holding a master's degree related to the public school system.
