Overview
The Associate Director, HAE HCP Marketing will lead U.S. healthcare provider (HCP) strategy and execution for HAE, shaping branded HCP messaging, omnichannel promotion, and field enablement that drive measurable impact across the HCP journey. This role is highly cross‑functional, partnering closely with Sales, Professional Engagement, Patient Marketing, Omnichannel/Digital, Business Insights/Analytics, and agency partners.
Key Objectives

Lead U.S. HCP strategy and programs to support growth and long‑term brand performance in HAE.
Identify and prioritize unmet needs across critical prescriber segments, translating insights into action.
Improve the long‑term prescriber experience and support appropriate utilization and adherence through coordinated omnichannel promotion.
Serve as a strategic marketing partner to cross‑functional Rare U.S. teams to ensure plans are executed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities

HCP messaging & creative : Lead branded HCP messaging strategy and develop creative assets, optimizing existing brand materials to drive awareness, consideration, and prescribing behavior.
Field enablement : Partner with Sales Leadership, Corporate Learning & Development, and Analytics to develop personal selling tools and resources that strengthen field effectiveness.
Omnichannel integration : Collaborate with Patient, Digital, and Omnichannel Marketing leads to ensure coordinated, consistent promotion across channels (including CRM strategy and targeted HCP media).
Promotional strategy & tactics : Develop and execute HCP promotional strategies in partnership with provider‑team counterparts (e.g., regional marketing, professional education, congress strategy) aligned to segment needs.
Agency leadership : Lead external agency partners and vendors; drive strong project management, timelines, and budget stewardship across integrated marketing initiatives.
Insights & learning agenda : Generate and communicate actionable HCP insights; contribute to market research planning and synthesis in partnership with Business Insights and cross‑functional stakeholders.
Brand planning leadership : Serve as HCP‑focused brand planning lead; propose programs/tactics that advance strategy and build alignment across stakeholders.
Promotional review leadership : Act as the primary franchise HCP brand representative in promotional review processes, ensuring clear objectives and efficient progression from concept to execution.
Compliance & quality : Ensure all materials and programs align with Takeda policies and applicable legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements; oversee review/approval workflows to deliver high‑quality, compliant promotion.
Qualifications (required)

Bachelor’s degree.
9+ years of relevant commercial experience (e.g., marketing, sales, managed markets, client services), including 5+ years of healthcare promotion or closely related experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional workstreams and influence peers/stakeholders at senior levels.
Experience managing agencies, vendors, and budgets; strong project management and operational rigor.
Demonstrated experience translating qualitative and quantitative research into insights, decisions, and action.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑ready storytelling and presentations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Qualifications (preferred)

Rare disease / ultra‑rare promotional experience.
Experience partnering effectively with a rare disease sales team.
MBA.
Leadership expectations in line with describing deep understanding of the HAE HCP journey, innovation, and cross‑team alignment.
Additional Information

Travel expected ~10–20% for meetings and conferences.

Compensation and Benefits Summary

Location: USA – MA – Cambridge – Kendall Square – 500 U.S.
Base Salary Range: $154,400.00 – $242,550.00 (actual salary may vary based on qualifications, experience, and location).
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short‑term and/or long‑term incentives and participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, well‑being benefits, and more. Paid sick time: up to 80 hours per calendar year; paid vacation: up to 120 hours for new hires.
