As a Managing Director, Senior Relationship Manager within PNC’s Corporate Banking organization, you will be a key member of the expanding Pharma & Life Sciences vertical industry team. This team provides industry coverage of Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology, Medical Device and Medtech, Pharma Services & Technologies, and Pharma Supply Chain clients and prospects across the US.
Job Responsibilities
Set relationship strategies and direct relationship management activities with new and/or existing clients to grow sales, revenue and market share.
Work independently and may mentor other team members.
Create and drive strategy to acquire and/or expand and retain client relationships to generate revenue and deepen share of wallet.
Handle the origination, financial analysis, negotiation and documentation of credit and non-credit products and services.
Manage risk/return and drive quality for new and/or existing clients.
Actively identify and mitigate different types of risk, such as regulatory, reputational, operational and credit risks.
Focus on client opportunities by providing ideas and insights based on an understanding of the client’s needs and their financial well‑being.
Drive client engagement and loyalty.
Generate ideas and best practices within Relationship Management and may mentor others.
Manage an effective network of senior internal and external relationships, such as community and industry relationships, to actively acquire new clients and/or expand existing clients and enhance the client experience.
Present the full range of PNC’s products and services to the client.
Leverage reporting and sales tools to proactively identify and successfully convert sales opportunities.
Demonstrate ability to analyze, evaluate and mitigate credit risk for complex credit requests by utilizing knowledge of advanced credit fundamentals and internal credit policies.
Qualifications
University or college degree; higher education such as a Master’s or Ph.D. is desirable.
Industry experience typically 8+ years.
Preferred skills: client prospecting, client relationship building, credit risk analysis, customer engagement, financial analysis, financial modeling, investment banking, public speaking, relationship management, business acumen, decision making and critical thinking, effective communication, prospecting, selling, tech savvy.
Relevant certifications, such as SIE, Series 52 & 63 for Public Finance & Healthcare or other supervisory licenses, may be required.
Compensation
Base Salary: $100,000.00 – $313,950.00 (salary may vary based on geographic location, market data and individual skills, experience, and education). The role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
